Description

A composite collection made up of six separate auction lots containing original photographic prints and one glass-plate negative. Most photographs depict various members of the Nez Perce tribe in studio poses with some outdoor images. Included in the collection are gelatin and silver print cabinet cards produced by the C. W. Hanson and E. G. Cummings studios; a glass-plate negative dated 1903 of Chief Joseph seated with another man in Western dress; a bust-length portrait of Chief Joseph; bromide prints by Dr. Edward H. Latham taken at Nespelem, WA; and albumen prints of the St. Joseph Mission Nez Perce School.
