| Description | The papers of Edwin Chalcraft consist primarily of diaries and an autobiography, "Memory's Storehouse," co-authored by Alice Chalcraft. The papers of William Pickering, Governor of Washington Territory and father of Alice Chalcraft, are chiefly correspondence and legal documents. Edwin Chalcraft was an Indian agency teacher in Chehalis, Washington, Chemawa, Oregon, and other agencies in Wyoming, Oklahoma and Oregon. |
