Description

The Conner Museum collections include a research collection, a teaching collection, and a public exhibit. The research collection has numerous uses: comparisons of morphology, identification, genetics, ecology, etc. The teaching collection, which is an additional 700 bird specimens and 700 mammal specimens, is separate from the research collection and is used in many classes. The public exhibit, which is free, consists of several hundred mounted birds and mammals, plus a few herps and fish. Most of the specimens in the public exhibit are from the northwest.
